TEACHING AND LEARNING COORDINATOR

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are fast approaching the end of this academic year. All students have been really busy in these weeks as they are completing their assessment tasks. Please ensure your child does not miss school unless they have a valid reason.

Encourage them to complete their weekly homework tasks as these provide opportunities to revise different concepts learnt at school. Make a schedule at home and have a fixed study time every day to inculcate good study habits. Check if they have completed all components of their homework and sign their booklets every week.

Mathletics and Reading Eggs are great websites to reinforce topics they are learning at school. Students can do lots of extra activities themselves on these sites, in addition to the tasks assigned by their teachers. Reading Eggs has online library where students can choose books according to their interests and as well, it provides comprehension tasks to check for their understanding of what they have read. It also has interactive work based on grammar, vocabulary and spellings to improve children’s literacy skills.

To Whom It May Concern: celebrate the end of this successful academic year, Sirius College, Shepparton Campus has organised an end of year concert and graduation ceremony for Year 6 students on Monday 19th November at Eastbank Centre. All academic and other awards for all year levels will be awarded at this Award Ceremony. We would be very pleased if you would join us on the night to rejoice in the successes of our students. See you all there to encourage our students’ confidence!
